Biltmore

I don't know how I feel about a blog, but I'm going to give it a whirl. If people read it, awesome -- if not, no harm done. This past weekend, I went with my friend to the Biltmore, and seriously, if you've never been, its freaking amazing! It ended up being a perfect day, with the perfect friend. We wanted to see the Biltmore at night, for their Christmas show, but they were all sold out when we tried to get tickets, so we opted for the next best thing: buy every specialty and behind-the-scenes tour that they offered. It was a little pricey but not much in compared to the money we would have spent on a hotel.

Tim and I had left that morning from Raleigh at about 7am, and didn't eat anything on the way up. Once we bought our tickets, we realized we only had 20 minutes to get from the car to the start of our tour. That meant no time for eating. Little did we realize that we'd not be able to eat until the sun set later that evening. We just couldn't come to terms to pay $11.50 for a freaking chicken sandwich. I had brought my jacket, thinking it'd be cold, and in between us realizing the extreme prices, I had lost my jacket. We couldn't miss the start of the tour or else we'd be left behind, so I just had to suck it up and take the fact that I had lost it.  Both lost and founds didn't have a trace of it either. After the 5 hours in the Biltmore, on the way to the shops, is my jacket, laying nicely folded on a table! Seriously, it was a god-send, and I felt like a retard because I ran up to it, as if it was a lost child, and laughed. Tim had to remind me of the scene I was making for myself but I didn't care... I had found my jacket!

Lots of people getting engaged, tis the season, know what i'm saying?
